Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), chaired the SEC meeting held at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office, during which the SEC reviewed the progress of development projects in the Emirate of Sharjah.

This came in the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC).

During its weekly meeting, the SEC discussed the latest developments in government work in the Emirate, reviewed reports on the work of government departments and entities, and learned about the progress of development projects being implemented in various cities and regions.

In line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to develop the legislative structure of the government system and departments and bodies in the Emirate to take into account all legislative, administrative, financial and social aspects, and to keep pace with the ongoing updates and establishment of regulatory bodies, the SEC discussed a number of draft laws and directed their referral to the Sharjah Consultative Council.

The draft laws included a draft law amending Law No. (2) of 2021 regarding human resources for military personnel in the Emirate of Sharjah, a draft law on reorganising the police and security force in the Emirate of Sharjah, and a draft law on retirement pensions and end-of-service benefits for military personnel in regulatory bodies in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The SEC issued a decision appointing Rashid Ali Ibrahim Mohammed Al Ali as Executive Director of the Sharjah Communication Technologies Authority, effective from the date of issuance of the decision.
