Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), chaired, on Tuesday, the meeting of the SEC, in the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, held in the Sharjah Ruler’s Office.
In accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Executive Council approved building a sewerage network in Al Ramaqiya and Al Sweihat areas at a total cost of AED100 million.
Muwaileh’s sewerage system was completed, along with raising the efficiency of the wastewater treatment plant in the Fifth Industrial Zone and the sewerage networks in the Al Quoz and Ramtha areas. Also, 85% of extending pumping lines through Al Hira Beach into the ocean was completed.
The council discussed updating the standards of Sharjah’s child-friendly certification that would enhance the emirate’s sustainability, support the efforts of Sharjah-based relevant institutions that contribute to childcaring, and implement policies to enable caregivers to protect and support children in all aspects.
