Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Bin Khalid Al Qasimi

Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Bin Khalid Al Qasimi chairs the Department of Government Relations. In cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the department coordinates the Emirate’s foreign relations and seeks to maintain and strengthen its reputation at the regional and international levels. Also, the entity oversees the organization of the strategic cities program in Sharjah, aiming to build strategic relationships based on enhancing cultural and knowledge exchange and achieving economic development.

Sheikh Fahim also chairs the Higher Committee for Digital Transformation of Sharjah, which aims to implement the smart digital transformation policies in all the services provided to the residents of the Emirate, in line with the advanced level of smart electronic services which the United Arab Emirates offers.

Before chairing the Department of Government Relations,  Sheikh Fahim worked in the fields of strategic advisory, foreign direct investment in Asia, as well as economic diversity and competitiveness enhancement in the Gulf Region. He has conducted a number of studies for governmental agencies on policy development for realizing economic growth in different sectors.

Sheikh Fahim holds an M.A. degree in International Relations from the University of Cambridge.
