His Excellency Engineer Ali Saeed Sultan Muhammad Bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi

H.E. Eng. Ali Saeed bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi serves as Chairman of the Department of Public Works in the Emirate of Sharjah. He also serves on the Boards of Trustees of the University of Al Dhaid, the University of Khorfakkan, and Sharjah Maritime Academy. His Excellency has served on several committees, including the Services Steering Committee, the committee overseeing the “My City is Getting Ready” initiative, and the Committee for Updating Building Regulations and Specifications in the Emirate of Sharjah. He has also contributed to the development of urban policies and regulatory standards across the Emirate.

His Excellency has extensive experience in government service, particularly in infrastructure development, project management, and team leadership. In 2019, he received the Best Manager in the Contractual Process Award from the Federation of Arab Engineers, as well as the MEED Projects Award in the same year.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in business administration. He has also participated in several advanced leadership programmes, most notably the Sharjah Government Leadership Preparation Programme in 2008 and the Entrepreneurship and Leadership Programme at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom. He also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate from the American University of Sharjah.
