His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa

H.E. Ali Salim Al Midfa serves as Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority and is a Member of the Board of Directors of Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific & Middle East. He also chairs the Boards of Directors of Sharjah Aviation Services (SAS), Sharjah Airport Travel Agency (SATA), and Avolta Sharjah (Duty Free). His Excellency is also a Member of the Supreme Committee for Human Resources and the Board of Directors of Sharjah Insurance Company.

His Excellency has more than 29 years of experience in aviation and airport management, during which he has contributed to the development of Sharjah Airport and the strengthening of its position. The airport has recorded strong growth in passenger numbers, aircraft movements, and air cargo. He also oversees the airport’s comprehensive expansion project, which aims to increase its annual capacity to 25 million passengers.

His Excellency previously served as Second Vice President of Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East and as Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council. He also chaired the Boards of Directors of Sharjah Sports Club and Sharjah International Marine Sports Club and served as a Member of the Sharjah Volunteering Committee.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai.
