His Excellency Dr. Abdelaziz Saeed Obaid Bin Butti Almheiri

H.E. Dr. Abdelaziz Saeed Bin Butti Al Mheiri serves as Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority, Chairman of Sharjah Healthcare City, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of University Hospital Sharjah. He also chairs the Higher Medical Committee for Retirement in the Government of Sharjah and the Judging Panel of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work. In addition, he is a member of the UAE Integrative Medicine Council and the UAE Health Council, as well as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Kalba and the Board of Directors of Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park.

His Excellency has extensive experience in the healthcare sector and medical administration. He served as Director of the Sharjah Health Authority from 2014 to 2022 and as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of University Hospital Sharjah during the same period. He also served as Secretary-General of the UAE National Anti-Doping Committee from 2004 to 2018 and previously worked as a specialist in Occupational and Environmental Health with the UAE Armed Forces from 1996 to 2009.

He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from United Arab Emirates University and a master’s degree in occupational and environmental health from Monash University in Australia.
