His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi
H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi serves as Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development and is a Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah. He is also a Board Member of the University of Sharjah Alumni Association, a Member of the National Statistics Committee under the UAE Cabinet, a Member of the Local Emergency and Crisis Management Team at Sharjah Police General Headquarters, and a Member of the Steering Committee for the Sharjah Child and Youth Friendly Project.
His Excellency has contributed to a number of major statistical and community development projects, including the Sharjah Censuses of 2015, 2022 and 2025, the annual Sharjah Emirate Economic Survey, the Data Exchange Project, the Sharjah Citizens Data Update Project, and the planning and execution of the Regional Forum on Data and Community Development 2024. He has also contributed to a range of projects and surveys related to community development and quality of life, including the Sharjah Healthy City Documentation Project, the Sharjah Age-Friendly City Project, and surveys covering household income and expenditure, the labour force, research and development, and education, among other specialised studies and surveys.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA).
