His Excellency Sheikh Khalid Bin Isam Bin Saqer Al Qassimi

H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Isam bin Saqr Al Qasimi serves as Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Civil Aviation. In this role, he is responsible for setting the Emirate’s general civil aviation policy and overseeing and regulating the sector in accordance with the applicable laws and international civil aviation regulations. He also represents the Emirate before international bodies, organisations, and authorities concerned with aviation affairs. In addition, he chairs the Sharjah Training Centre for Airports Science and serves on the Boards of Directors of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority and Air Arabia.

His Excellency has contributed to several key achievements in Sharjah’s civil aviation sector, including overseeing the inauguration of the new runway at Sharjah International Airport, increasing Emiratisation within the Department of Civil Aviation, approving a project to revise the Department’s fees and introduce new fees, increasing the Emirate’s air traffic rights, and contributing to the establishment of the Sharjah Training Centre for Airports Science.

He holds a Higher Diploma and a bachelor’s degree in e-commerce from the Higher Colleges of Technology, as well as a master’s degree in international business from the University of Wollongong.
