His Excellency Ahmed Hamad Rashid Matar Al Suwaidi
His Excellency Ahmed Hamad Rashid Matar Al Suwaidi serves as the Assistant Secretary General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and is recognized as one of the Emirate’s distinguished young national leaders. He has built a diverse leadership career across quality management, process engineering, human resources, and institutional communication.
Throughout his professional journey, His Excellency held key roles within government, semi-government, and private sector entities, including the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Sharjah Islamic Bank. In these roles, he contributed to process engineering and service quality initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency and elevating service standards.
He also served for eight years as Director of Government Communication at the Executive Office of H.H. Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi at the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq). During this period, he led strategic communication efforts and contributed to the establishment of the “Ibda’a” Program, designed to empower and develop Emirati youth in the cultural sector. He was also a core member of the Sharjah World Book Capital 2019 team, contributing from the bid preparation and submission to UNESCO through to the Emirate’s successful designation.
In 2022, His Excellency chaired the Supervisory Committee for UAE Innovation Month in Sharjah, leading cross-government coordination to deliver impactful innovation initiatives aligned with national strategic priorities.
In 2023, he served as a member of the Sharjah Committee for the Federal National Council Elections, contributing to the effective organization and governance of the electoral process. In the same year, he was appointed as a Board Member of the Sharjah Classic Cars Club, supporting the development of its strategic direction and strengthening its local and international presence, in addition to contributing to the establishment of the Sharjah Classic Cars Festival.
He also chaired the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Government Employees Club, launching sports, social, and cultural initiatives aimed at enhancing employee wellbeing and fostering a positive institutional culture.
In 2025, His Excellency joined the Higher Committee for Digital Integration in Sharjah, supporting digital transformation projects and advancing cross-government integration initiatives to enhance public sector efficiency and service excellence.
His Excellency holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Sharjah.
