His Excellency Khalid Jasim Saif Al Midfa

H.E. Khalid Jasim Saif Al Midfa serves as Chairman of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority. He also chairs the Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club and the Sharjah Eid Al Etihad Celebrations Committee. His Excellency is also a Board Member of the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) and a member of the Emirates Tourism Council, the Executive Committee of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team in the Emirate of Sharjah, the Board of Trustees of the Sharjah Excellence Award, and the Higher Committee of the Arab Women Sports Tournament. His name and principal title follow the official English usage of the Sharjah Executive Council, while the UIM officially identifies him as a Board Member.

His Excellency has contributed to developing the digital transformation strategy for all the Authority’s tourism services and launching an international classification model for hotel establishments in Sharjah. He has also contributed to developing the Sharjah Light Festival into one of the world’s leading festivals dedicated to light art, launching an annual forum focused on developing the Emirate’s hospitality sector with the participation of industry representatives and regional and international organisations, and developing Sharjah’s youth hostels in partnership with relevant entities. In addition, he has led regional promotional programmes that have strengthened Sharjah’s presence at major international tourism exhibitions and events, helping to attract new tourism markets and increase visitor numbers.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Higher Colleges of Technology.
