Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), chaired, on Tuesday, the SEC’s meeting, which was held in the Sharjah Ruler’s office.
The meeting discussed the governmental issues on its agenda, which are concerned with following up government work policies in the Emirate of Sharjah, reviewing performance reports and evaluating various sectors, and making decisions that are in the public interest.
The SEC issued a decision regulating the work of the endowment administrators in the Emirate of Sharjah, with the aim of preserving and developing endowment, organising the endowment administrators’ work in the Emirate and educating the administrators of the Sharia and legal provisions of administrators.
The decision included the various legal clauses that regulate the work of the administrators, such as the conditions and appointment of the administrator, obligations and responsibilities, and other organisational clauses.
Based on the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at improving the agricultural sector and supporting farmers, the SEC discussed the mechanism of supporting productive farms in the Emirate.
The mechanism aims to strengthen the self-sufficiency system, produce healthy food that is free of toxins and is safe for human health and the environment, raise awareness and education on the importance of agriculture and the health of agricultural crops, and facilitate agricultural procedures and costs for local farmers.
The SEC approved a number of recommendations of the mechanism to support productive farms, directed in coordination with the concerned authorities, to overcome all obstacles facing farmers, raise the level of agricultural crops and the quantity of their production while maintaining their quality, and encourage more citizens to enter the fields of agricultural production.
