His Excellency Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi

H.E. Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi serves as Chairman of the Department of Human Resources and is a Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah. He is also Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Social Security Fund, a Member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Kalba, and a Member of the Committee for Addressing Emergency Social Cases in the Emirate of Sharjah. His Excellency chairs the Supreme Committee for Human Resources, the Organizational Structures Committee of the Sharjah Government, the Supplementary Grants Committee for Retirees, the Technical and Administrative Committee of the Sharjah Social Security Fund’s Board of Directors, and the Compliance and Internal Audit Committee at the University of Kalba. He is also a Member of the Advisory Committee of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis). The English titles for his principal position and the Human Resources Committee are consistent with official government usage.

Throughout his career, His Excellency has contributed to several committees and Emiratisation initiatives. He chaired the Department of Human Resources team that received the Nationalization Contribution Award in 2014 and served on the Board of Directors of Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled from 2007 to 2024. He also served on the committee established to implement the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah concerning the salaries of University of Sharjah employees in 2008 and on the Election Management Committee for the Sharjah Government’s Advisory Council in 2015. He also contributed to the “Farhat Watan” initiative, which resulted in the employment of 300 Emirati nationals, and participated in a committee implementing the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah concerning social cases and raising income levels through social assistance in 2026. The earlier roles and the 2014 award are also reflected in his official Executive Council profile.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and a master’s degree in Law from the University of Sharjah, awarded with distinction.
