H.E. Lieutenant General Abdullah Mubarak Salem Bin Amer

H.E. Lieutenant General Abdullah Mubarak Salem Bin Amer serves as Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police. He joined Sharjah Police in September 1987, beginning his professional career as an officer at the Police College in Abu Dhabi. He subsequently progressed through various policing roles in the Emirate of Sharjah, eventually serving as Director General of the General Department of Central Operations. In April 2015, he was appointed Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, before being appointed Commander-in-Chief in September 2024.

His Excellency chairs a number of high-level strategic committees at both the national and local levels, including the Permanent Committee for Managing Labour Crises in the UAE, the Higher Committee for Police, Security and Safety Forces in the Emirate, the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team in the Emirate of Sharjah, and the Permanent Higher Committee at Sharjah Police General Command.

Throughout his professional career, His Excellency has contributed to the development of the policing system, the enhancement of organisational structures, and the advancement and empowerment of police personnel to keep pace with rapid technological and scientific developments. He has also overseen the implementation of several major strategic projects, including the Sharjah Police Security Foresight Project 2030 and the Sharjah Police Centennial Project 2067. He has also represented the Ministry of Interior at numerous regional and international conferences in the fields of security and policing.
