SEC reviews Sharjah International Book Fair’s report

Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, chaired on Tuesday, in the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of SEC, the meeting of the Sharjah Executive Council.

 

As part of its continuous plans to set general policies for the Emirate and work to implement them with government departments and agencies, the council discussed a number of significant  issues on the development of various sectors and systems.

 

SEC reviewed the Sharjah International Book Fair’s report in its 41st edition, as the fair has maintained its leading position among world’s fairs in terms of sale and purchase of publishing rights. The report included the fair’s preparations in participating in the book fairs comprising 28 countries with the aim of  strengthening cultural relations and inviting various houses and intellectuals to participate in the exhibition.

 

SEC reviewed the report on the performance of the general budget and the outputs of activities for the second quarter of 2022, including various main indicators in measuring the financial performance of all government departments and agencies in the Emirate of Sharjah.

 

SEC reviewed notes of the Sharjah Consultative Council on the draft law reorganizing the Sharjah Education Council, and directed the Council to complete the legislative session of the draft law.
