His Excellency Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi

His Excellency Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi is the chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department, board member of the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology, member of the Economic Integration Committee at the Ministry of Economy, member of Sharjah Economic Excellence Council affiliated to the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, member of the Industrial Coordination Council and member of the Dubai Medical College Board of Trustees. Under the directives of his Excellency, the department has launched the Sharjah Design and Innovation Award.

Under his Excellency directives, the department works to develop and implement specific economic procedures, policies and initiatives aiming at promoting the process of economic growth and prosperity, keeping pace with global economic developments and enhancing the development of the Emirate, in a way that reflects the sound vision of its wise leadership which aims at achieving economic diversification, enhancing the role of non-oil sectors and providing an attractive business environment for investment.

H.E. Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi holds a B.A. degree in public administration and political sciences from the United Arab Emirates University.
